Web-Based Preparatory Program

This online Breast Health Educator web-based Preparatory Program offered by The Maurer Foundation can help you learn more about breast health and present the information to others. It is approved for 3.0 contact hours from the New York State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

• Prerequisite for TMF Breast Health Educator Training & Certification Program on the Tier 1 or Tier 2 level

• Train on the MammaCare® method of Breast Self Examination

• Develop presentation skills to succeed as a certified breast health educator

You will learn:

• Basic knowledge on the growth and development of breast tissue

• Role of estrogen in breast cancer risk and breast pathology

• Risk reduction, early intervention, and early detection of breast cancer

• Online Breast Health Educator Training and Certification Preparatory Program

• Includes 6 months unlimited access membership to the course

• All chapters must be completed within 6 months for a certificate of completion

• Passing grade of 100 percent on each module is necessary for completion

• Successful completion earns eligibility for further training as a Maurer

• Successful completion earns 3.0 contact hours from the New York State Nurses Association

• Foundation Facilitator at the Tier 1 level, and Maurer Foundation Associate at the Tier 2 level
