Halloween Bash Raises Over $5000 For Breast Cancer

Costumes for a Cure, hosted at the Knights of Columbus in Oceanside on Saturday October 29th, brought out the costume creativity with costumes ranging from 70’s disco-goers, fast food mascots, to yes, even two sets of ta-ta’s. The Halloween bash had over 200 attendees and raised over $5000 for the Maurer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Guests received fliers on breast self-exams and hand sanitizers from the Maurer Foundation for their goody bags. The event was a private party hosted by a Maurer Foundation advocate and breast cancer survivor. We cannot thank her and the fun folks of Rockville Centre enough!
