Fourth Annual Pink Diamond Ball
Surpasses Expectations, Exceeds Financial Goals

With a theme of "Celebrating Saving Lives through Education" the Ball was attended by more than 400 individuals and garnered over $700,000 in proceeds.

On Saturday, April 28, 2007, The Maurer Foundation held its Fourth Annual Pink Diamond Ball fundraising event at The Pierre in New York City. The event was the largest and most successful in the twelve-year history of The Maurer Foundation.

Carolyn A. Drexel, Executive Vice President of the Retail Division of North Fork Bank, was the evening's distinguished honoree. Her tireless efforts in health promotion and disease prevention through her many civic involvements made her an ideal candidate for honoree at the Pink Diamond Ball.

All age groups were represented at the Ball, from fifteen and up. Providing entertainment for the evening was pop diva Donna Summer who performed some of her greatest hits, among them, "Last Dance."

Support came from a wide range of major individual, corporate and foundation contributions. So impressed were representatives of North Fork Bank that the financial institution gave an additional $15,000 to The Maurer Foundation on the evening of the event.
