Job/Internship Opportunities at The Maurer Foundation

The Maurer Foundation For Breast Health Education is dedicated to educating women about how to lower their risk for breast cancer and practice the most effective methods of early detection.

Open Positions

MARKETING INTERNSHIP

We are looking for a college student interested in the field of marketing with an analytical mind to help increase the effectiveness of our outreach efforts. The intern will be exposed to all aspects of marketing including brand strategy, search engine optimization, and social and online promotions. The goal of the Internship is to increase user traffic flow, analyze market trends and website impressions. This position will offer extensive hands-on experience in marketing specific programs for the organization. You will have the ability to expand your resume with high-responsibility projects!

Qualifications include:
Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team. Intern must be detail oriented, well organized, technologically savvy and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Previous intern experience a plus.

Compensation: Unpaid Internship

SOCIAL NETWORK GURU INTERNSHIP

Are you a master of Facebook and Twitter? Looking to build your resume into the kind that recruiters will notice? Do you have experience in managing social network profiles on Facebook and Twitter? Are you interested in building friend lists and interacting with users on various social network platforms – creating and disseminating e-newsletters and e-promotional blasts? Acting as the liaison between our brand and the social network communities, you will post news stories and add relevant tags to maximize search ability and engage discussion amidst our online community.

Qualifications
Interested students are expected to have demonstrated an interest in media, specifically print, internet and/or magazine publishing. Candidates must also be a self starter with strong follow-through ability; heavy internet user with detailed knowledge of social networks like Facebook, Twitter and others; excellent communications skills – both written and oral; good Microsoft Office skills; and be an innovative and creative thinker. In addition, applicants must have excellent spelling, proofreading, and verbal skills, be detail oriented, well organized and possess the ability to take initiative and work independently.

Compensation
This is an unpaid internship requiring 15 – 20 hours of work per week.
