Interning with the Maurer Foundation

These past few weeks interning with the Maurer Foundation has opened my eyes to a major health issue at hand. The issue is breast cancer and how it is crucial for people to be fully educated in order to live a healthier lifestyle. As a college student exploring my talents and abilities to help others I have come to understand that breast cancer education is very important. The Maurer Foundation’s goal is to help inform communities through their breast health education programs.

The staff at the Maurer Foundation had come up with an idea to have a campus tour in our pink bus. The goal is to travel to 20 New York colleges in the month of October delivering breast health education programs!

My intern experience with the Maurer Foundation is awesome. Since arriving to the foundation I have been working on the Pepsi refresh campus bus tour. I was involved in fundraiser programs, and also attended a breast health education program at Cardozo High School.

If we win the Pepsi refresh project, in October the Maurer Foundation will be hitting the road and the foundation will visit 20 NY colleges in 30 days promoting Breast Health Education!!! Visit http://www.refresheverything.com/campustour to vote for this life changing idea.
