2012 Golf Classic Raises Over $100,000 For Breast Health Education

The numbers are finally in and we are delighted to announce that the 2012 Golf Classic raised over $100,000 for the breast health education programs of The Maurer Foundation. The foundation’s 17th annual event was held Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, NY. The charity event featured brunch, golf contests, a cocktail reception, golf awards, a silent auction, and a raffle.

Golfer’s braved the misty weather to participate in three exciting contests. Ed Westfall, former Islander & NHL Hockey Legend, served as both the Master of Ceremonies and the “Pro” in the Beat the Pro contest. While there were no winners this year, golfers also had fun testing their hole-in-one skills for a chance at a pre-paid lease to a Range Rover Evoque or a BMW 3 Series in our two Hole-In-One contests.
