Saturday, May 15th was the 7th Annual Health and Fitness Fair, run by Senator Carl L. Marcellino and the Oyster Bay Chamber of Commerce. It was a perfect day for the Fair that had health and fitness demonstrations, live entertainment, health screenings, rock climbing and many other fun filled activities!
The Maurer Foundation had a booth and we were able to speak to hundreds of attendees, which also included people who took part in a run/ walk that started in the morning. We talked to many people about the Maurer Foundation, the programs we offer and our upcoming events, like the Pink Diamond Dinner on June 3rd. Several breast cancer survivors came by to speak with us as well. Our booth was right near the stage, so we got to enjoy many performances like salsa dancing from Evolution Fitness, ballroom dancing from Bliss Studio and Miss Terry’s Tappers from the Doubleday Babcock Senior Center.
