7th Grader Supports The Maurer Foundation With Cookie Mitzvah Project

A big thanks goes to 7th grader Samantha Skubik for her Cookies For a Cause bat mitzvah project.

Samantha sold 240 pink and white cookies and raised $500 for The Maurer Foundation to support breast health education. “Everyone raved about how delicious the cookies tasted!” reported Jill Skubik, Samatha’s mother. “She had a great time doing her Mitzvah project and is very proud to have raised awareness for the Foundation and to make this donation. She will even be speaking about it at her upcoming bat mitzvah on April 21st.”

Samantha chose The Maurer Foundation to be a part of her bat mitzvah service project in honor of her grandmother and great-grandmother, both breast cancer survivors.
