Fun on the Greens
The 31st Annual Maurer Foundation Golf Classic on May 11th shattered records, selling out at both courses and bringing together the largest number of golfers in the event’s history at The Mill River Club and Meadow Brook Club.
This year’s outing was especially meaningful as we honored Jon Santemma, whose extraordinary generosity and unwavering commitment to the foundation helped make the event a tremendous success, raising over $350,000 for breast health education.
Friendly Competition
The competition continued with the following winners at Mill River: 1st Low Team Gross – Greg Schaefer, Adam Gasiorowski, Peter Knowles, and Shawn Parr; 1st Low Team Net – Bob Gominak, Brian Dunphy, Mike Wirth, and Pete Altman; Men’s Longest Drive – Marc Mingolelli; Women’s Low Net & Low Gross – Danielle Montesano.
At Meadow Brook, the winners were: 1st Low Team Gross – Doug Anderson, Ross Grubin, Chris Thompson, and Robert Pearson; 1st Low Team Net – Jay McGlynn, Mike Farrell, Dominic Gammerati and Marty Massell; Men’s Longest Drive – Don Cervantes; Women’s Longest Drive – Sara Meyer; Women’s Low Gross – Jackie Whitley; Women’s Low Net – Pat Kowpak; Men’s Closest to the Pin – Peter Van Son.

One of the highlights of the evening reception was the spirited live auction, led by the always entertaining, Shawn Parr of GSM Charity Auctions. Adding to the excitement, the 50/50 prize pot reached a staggering $29,200.
