Ten years is a long time to be part of anything, but with The Maurer Foundation, it feels both expansive and incredibly personal. When I look back on where I started, as a part-time Administrative Assistant and where I am now as the Social Media and Marketing Specialist, what stands out most is not just the work we’ve done and the many different roles I have played, but the people, the stories, and the moments that have shaped me along the way.

One of the most meaningful parts of these ten years has been the people. The Maurer team is truly unlike any other: colleagues who have become close friends and a steady source of support through life’s highs and lows. They have celebrated alongside me at my wedding, offered advice when I purchased my first home, and even sent flowers to the hospital when I gave birth to my son. In so many ways, The Maurer Foundation has been part of my life far beyond the office, showing up for some of my most personal milestones as much as my professional ones. The Foundation has grown and evolved over the years, and in many ways, it has grown and adapted right alongside me.

If the past ten years have taught me anything, it is that this work matters. Education matters. Connection matters. And being part of something that helps people feel more informed and empowered in their own health is something I will never take for granted.
