Dan’s Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Hosts “Paws For A Cause” Fundraiser

paws_for_a_causeIn honor of breast cancer awareness month, Dan’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting is proud to announce their Third Annual “Paws for a Cause” breast health education fundraiser in partnership with the Maurer Foundation.

In addition to providing the highest quality of pet care services, Daniel Reitman, the CEO & Founder of Dan’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting, has made giving back to the community a cornerstone of the company’s mission. Recent studies show that the Long Island population has a breast cancer incident rate much higher than the statewide average, so Dan and his team are hosting their Third Annual Fundraiser to further raise money to educate members of our community.

Last year “Paws for a Cause” collectively raised nearly $1,500 and this year they are looking to break their record and raise a total of $2,000. Donations will be generated through a fundraising campaign on Crowdrise as well as t-shirt sales with all proceeds going directly to the Maurer Foundation.

“It is difficult to find a member of our community that has not been affected by cancer but even more so breast cancer. We feel it is our duty as a member of this community to find positive ways to give back and partnering with the amazing team at The Maurer Foundation was a no-brainer!” explained Reitman.
