The team here at the Maurer Foundation extends a hearty thank you to the students at Early College High School for their support! On October 29th, as part of a Breast Cancer Awareness event, students sold breast cancer pins and raised over $200 to support our breast health education programs.

Early College High School also hosted our breast health educators for ten separate programs on October 28th and the 31st, with 250 students hearing our message of breast health! We were able to share potentially life-saving information about the lifestyle choices that can increase breast cancer risk, and demonstrate the proper techniques for breast self-exams and emphasize the importance of early detection.

Through their fundraising efforts, the Early College High School students are helping us share the word throughout New York schools, colleges, and community groups that breast cancer risks can be lowered through positive efforts like proper nutrition and regular exercise. We’re so grateful for the support of these enthusiastic students!

Will you follow in their footsteps and support The Maurer Foundation’s breast health education programs? Learn how to get involved today!
