Phenomenal Success at our 25th Annual Golf Classic, Raising Nearly $170,000

On August 18th golfers enjoyed a spectacular day at The Maurer Foundation’s 25th Annual Golf Classic, helping us raise almost $170,000 in support of breast health education.

Bright sunshine and positive spirits prevailed as 128 golfers headed out on the greens at the Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, NY for our annual golf classic. This year’s outing brought about new challenges as we pivoted to rolling tee times and socially-distanced meals, but these necessary adjustments did not stop our supporters from coming out strong in the middle of a pandemic. The funds raised are more important than ever as we prepare to bring our programs virtually to students with the start of the new school year.

Golfers competed for top scores, and the winners are……Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. – 1st Low Team Gross (score 63), Efficient Combustion & Cooling – 1st Low Team Net (score 50), Danielle Montesano – Individual Low Gross Ladies (score 93), Christine Ireland – Individual Low Net Ladies (score 76). Our 50/50 raffle and virtual auction platform had great activity and many supporters bid on and won amazing prizes. Golfer, Joe Mawad, was our lucky 50/50 winner, and Andrew Corrado, went home with our door prize, a 65” television!

A special thanks to our event sponsors Kalikow Group and Kaled Management, as well as cocktail sponsors Aon, Better Home Health Care Agency, Inc., Champion Elevator, El Sol Contracting & Construction Corp. & International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.
