Pink Bowl 2019 raises over $14,000 for breast health education

Melville, NY, February 11, 2019: Over 100 bowlers came out to support The Maurer Foundation’s 10th Annual Pink Bowl event, raising over $14,000 for breast health education. The event was held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Bowlmor Lanes in Melville.

For the fifth year in a row, the Pink Bowl was sponsored by Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union based in Garden City Park. “We are grateful for the important work that the Maurer Foundation does across Long Island,” stated Kevin Healy, Sperry’s CEO.  “Their mission of educating the community about breast cancer truly saves lives, and Sperry is proud to support such a good cause”.

Twenty-six teams rose to the occasion, ready for an exciting Sunday afternoon of friendly competition on the lanes. First place honors went to Sperry’s team “Branch Out” for the highest team score. Dan Tinucci from Charles Schwab won the Best Male Bowler award with an impressive score of 225.  Best Female Bowler went to Joanna Jensen from Nawrocki Smith, with a score of 187.
