The Maurer Foundation kicked off this year’s breast cancer awareness month, raising over a quarter of a million dollars at our annual Pink Diamond Gala!

Almost 300 guests came out in support of breast health education on Friday, October 7th at the Garden City Hotel. It was an evening of fun and excitement as two outstanding individuals were recognized – Honoree, Sal Savarese, Collection Administrator for District Council 9, as well as a special celebration of the retirement of our Founder, Dr. Virginia Maurer. The atmosphere was joyous throughout the evening as guests filled the dance floor, bid on silent auction items, and purchased tickets, trying their luck on fabulous raffle prizes.

It is with a tremendous sense of gratitude that The Foundation acknowledges all the generous supporters that helped raise over $250,000 for breast health education! These funds will support the foundation’s programs that bring life-saving information to students in high schools and colleges throughout Long Island and the five boroughs.
