Ralph Lauren Hosts Pink Pony Event for The Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education

The Ralph Lauren store at Americana Manhasset hosted an evening of shopping and cocktails in support of The Maurer Foundation and the Pink Pony Fund for Cancer Care and Prevention. Twenty percent of the evening’s sales was divided equally between the two nonprofit organizations. In addition, a limited edition volume, “Diary of a Collection, Ralph Lauren, Fall 2005,” was offered in a silent auction with the winner to receive a personalized and autographed copy of the book from Mr. Lauren himself.

“We are grateful to our hosts Bob Davis and Jamie Cohen who were most generous with their time and support,” said Karen Loeffler, Director of Marketing and Communications at The Maurer Foundation. Two weeks prior to the event, Ms. Loeffler and Program Manager Karolina Bizik visited the store on a Saturday morning to present a condensed version of The Maurer Foundation’s breast health education program to the management and staff. “We appreciate the enthusiasm and hospitality of the entire Ralph Lauren staff for our mission and programs,” added Loeffler.

The evening was enjoyed by all, so much so that The Maurer Foundation and Ralph Lauren have decided to make this an annual event. Stay tuned for more details.
