Riding for a Cause

What better way to enjoy the North Fork of Long Island than on the back of a motorcycle in support of breast health education! On the morning of August 27th, more than 45 motorcyclists came together to support the Maurer Foundation’s Third Annual Motorcycle Ride. They rode to honor their family, friends, and loved ones that have been affected by breast cancer.  Together, they raised more than ,000 towards breast health education programs.

The annual charity motorcycle ride began in Oceanside, NY. After a light breakfast, the motorcyclists revved up and took off to Greenport, NY.  The group toured nearly 100 miles of Long Island, including the scenic views of Ocean Parkway, the farms of Manorville, and the winding roads of the North Fork.

The event was generously sponsored by Utopia Home Care Inc. in partnership with the East End Riders. David Martinez, CEO of Utopia stated, “It is our pleasure to support such a worthy cause for the second year in a row.  It’s great to see so many bikers come together and give back to a great breast cancer organization that’s educating so many in our community!”
