Hauppauge, NY, August, 2014 – The Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education is proud to mark the 10th anniversary of its Pink Diamond fundraisers on Thursday, October 9th at 6:30pm at the Carltun in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow. Funds raised at this year’s Pink Diamond Gala will support the Long Island-based non-profit organization’s breast health education mission.
The evening will begin with an open bar cocktail reception in the Drawing Room where guests will have a chance to mingle or step outside onto the terrace to enjoy breathtaking garden views. The cocktail reception will be followed by dinner in the Grand Ballroom and an evening of dancing and live music.
The event honors Mr. Thomas Poole, Chairman of Hallen Construction Company, and his son, Mr. Shepard Poole, President and CEO of Hallen, for their unyielding support of the foundation through the years. Dr. Eva Chalas, Director of Clinical Cancer Services and Vice-Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Winthrop University Hospital, will also be honored for her tireless work on women’s health issues here on Long Island.

Funds raised from events such as the Pink Diamond Gala will help make that possible.”
