Mineola, NY October 2010, The Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education held their 15th Annual Golf Classic on October 5th, 2010 at the Meadow Brook Club in Jericho. The outing raised over $110,000 to support breast health education.
This year’s honoree, Nassau Radiology Group and Affiliates, is one of The Foundation’s biggest supporters. “Donating over $200,000 in the last 12 years, The Maurer Foundation has been a fortunate recipient of support from NRAD. But for NRAD, their commitment goes beyond financial”, said Andrew Corrado, Chairman of the Board for The Maurer Foundation. “The folks you see here tonight make up only a small part of a much larger team of individuals who invest an enormous amount of time and service in our community. For this reason, we are honored to work hand in hand with a company that shares our same passion. ”
Top community and business leaders participated in this ever-popular event. Players were grouped in foursomes for a day of fun, competition and giving back to the community. The event also included raffles with prizes such as Jets tickets and shopping sprees, a silent auction and “Beat the Pro” with professional golfer Andrew Giuliani.
