Many thanks to the generous employees at The Regency at Glen Cove, a Long Island senior living community. For the fifth consecutive year, employees donated the proceeds from their annual breast cancer fundraiser to The Maurer Foundation.

Every Friday during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Regency employees donated $5 apiece to relax their dress code and wear jeans to work. At the end of the month, the fundraiser, called “Hope Starts With Your Favorite Jeans,” raised 0 to help our mission to promote breast health education!

We at the Maurer Foundation truly rely on long-term commitments like these. By supporting us financially over the past five years, the compassionate folks at The Regency have become our partners in communicating the positive steps women can take toward breast cancer prevention and early detection. Our ability to take breast health programs into classrooms and communities depends on exactly this kind of long-term support.

If you are interested in sponsoring a breast cancer fundraiser in your workplace or classroom, we would love to be involved. Check out some of our previous fundraisers for inspiration, or contact us to learn more.
