If you’re over 40, schedule a mammogram every year. You can schedule it on your birthday, during breast cancer awareness month, or even National Mammography Day (the third Friday of October) — whatever helps you remember! Consider a mammogram even earlier if you have several risk factors for breast cancer or have tested positive for the BRCA gene.
