October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there’s no better time to make an impact! Hockey with a Heart
The Islanders have selected The Maurer Foundation to be the Hockey with a Heart charity of the game as the Isles take on the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, October 21st at 7pm at UBS Arena. You don’t have to attend the game to help support! Starting October 17th you can purchase a 50/50 raffle and a portion of the proceeds will support us.
School Fundraisers
This October schools across our area are making a difference for breast cancer! The incredible students and staff of PS/MS 47Q are hosting two bake sales, a dress-down day, and a walkathon on the Rockaway Beach Boardwalk to raise funds and awareness. The Kicks for Cancer Soccer Game is being held at Hauppauge High School in support of us.
Huntington Honda

This October, Nissan of Westbury is driving change! For every vehicle purchased, they’ll donate $25 to The Maurer Foundation to support lifesaving breast health education.

The Headwall Theatre Company is hosting a production of Hyper-Bare It by Lesley Shires on October 4th and 5th. After the performance, The Maurer Foundation will be present to offer up breast health info. Donation for the Foundation will be accepted.
