Thank you to all that attended the The Maurer Foundation’s Cocktails for a Cause networking event on October 23rd at Havana Central in Garden City. The evening raised approximately $1,500 to help support breast health education here on Long Island.
Organized by our dedicated Young Professionals Committee, 50 supporters enjoyed delicious appetizers, great raffle prizes and engaging conversation. In addition, attendees participated in a contest to win a restaurant gift card by following @Maurerfoundation on Instagram and posting a photo tagging the foundation and #checkyourselfie.
Susan Samaroo, the Foundation’s executive director, spoke about our programs and demonstrated how we use the breast models in the classroom setting.
A fun evening was had by all. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
