Partner Events Raise Over $50,000 for Breast Health Education

We are proud to highlight our partners who raised over $50,000 on our behalf throughout 2019, with most of the events taking place during October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  

  • Anchin Block and Anchin participated in the Anchin Women’s Initiative Network (AWIN) “Change War,” a competition between floors in their building.
  • Anthony DeFranco Salon held a raffle and chance auction and sold our pink and white cookies.
  • Biodex hosted year-long activities such as “Pink Dollar Fridays,” where employees could donate $1 each week and be placed in a raffle to win fabulous prizes.
  • Our young supporter Charlotte sold homemade bracelets, honoring family members diagnosed with breast cancer, setting a great example of the importance of giving back to the community.
  • Staff at ClearVision Optical participated in various games and made donations to our cause.
  • Dan’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting continued their generous support when they held their Sixth Annual Paws for a Cause fundraiser.
  • (EMRA) Eastern Motor Racing Association donated the proceeds of t-shirt sales that were created for their race day in October.
  • For six consecutive years, Huntington Honda and Certified Pre-owned made donations for every test drive in October.
  • Through their October and November pink merchandise sale, ILoveKickBoxing in Franklin Square raised awareness and funds.
  • Through its “Great Wine, Great Cause, Great Neighbors” campaign, J. Kings & Sysco LI partnered with their customers resulting in a generous donation.
  • For the third year, the Long Island Women’s Interclub Tennis League donated the raffle proceeds from their end of season celebration banquet.
  • Rallye Motor Company showed their support during breast cancer awareness month by donating for each vehicle sold or serviced in October.
  • Riverhead Ciderhouse held a wine raffle every weekend in October.
  • In addition to selling our pink and white cookies, Salon Montáage sold raffles all month long that culminated at their Halloween Bash.
  • Silverfox Photography donated a portion of each contract booked in October.
  • Once again Sperry Federal Credit Union held a bake sale at the branch.
  • Stahl Eyecare Experts made a donation for every LASIK procedure performed in the month of October.
  • Surge Rehabilitation and Nursing held a “Fight Like a Girl” fundraiser bake sale.
  • The Virginia Campione Memorial made a generous donation at their annual dinner fundraiser.
  • Waves Salon donated 5% of all their retail sales, conditioning treatments, and pink hair extensions.
  • Students at West Hempstead High School organized a 5K fundraiser for their senior service project.
  • Our own Young Professionals Committee sponsored Cocktails for a Cause in October; a great networking event.

We would like to acknowledge all our pink and white cookie sellers, including Anastasia Salon, Synergy Fitness Club in Baldwin and Eastern Suffolk BOCES.
