In honor of Valentine’s Day, seniors at Long Beach High School took part in the Maurer Foundation Cookies For A Cause program and raised $505 to support the non-profit’s breast health education programs.

The foundation’s custom-baked pink and white cookies, which look and taste just like the black and white cookies New Yorkers know and love, were exchanged for a $2 donation at the high school. Funds raised will help fund the foundation’s workshops presented to schools, businesses, and community organizations which educate women and girls about breast cancer prevention, early detection, risk factors, and healthy lifestyle choices.
