It is with great sadness we must announce the passing of former Maurer Foundation Board Chairwoman and long-time supporter, Niki Gregory, on October 28, 2015. As a breast cancer survivor for nearly thirty years, she made her life’s mission to fight for a cure and educate others about breast health. Our organization and those she touched will be forever changed by her courage and selfless service.
Indeed, even with her passing, Niki’s legacy continues to provide support for our mission of breast health education. Hirshleifers at Americana Manhasset recently held a promotional event in Niki’s honor, and she had named the Maurer Foundation as its beneficiary. The funds received from the event along with an additional donation from the Niki and Joe Gregory Charitable Foundation will help us provide education programs to support breast health.
