Once again, we offer our sincerest thanks to the Nassau County Bar Association who has generously awarded The Maurer Foundation a $2,000 grant through their We Care Fund. The goal of the We Care Fund is to improve the quality of life for children in need throughout Nassau County and The Maurer Foundation is so pleased to help play a part in achieving that goal. A special thank you to the selection committee and committee Co-Chairs Michael H. Masri, Esq. and Christopher T. McGrath, Esq. Nassau County Bar Association Executive Director, Elizabeth Post, presented Maurer Foundation Executive Director, Susan Samaroo, with the award at a special ceremony.
As we continue to expand the communities and the schools we serve, our partnerships with organizations like the Nassau County Bar Association and the We Care Grant Program, make that expansion attainable. Their continued and unwavering support have afforded The Maurer Foundation the opportunity to reach hundreds of new students with vital health education. It is our most enduring hope that by educating young people with life-saving skills regarding their breast health, they will have the tools to reduce their breast cancer risk and discover lumps in their earliest stages.
